Early in the formation of our program we attended a VIPS training seminar in Dallas, TX. It was there that we found direction, guidance, mentorship and a clear direction for program development. The fact is if it weren’t for the national VIPS Program, our program would not be anywhere near what it is today.

Training & Events

The VIPS Training Program offers a range of no-cost training options for volunteer coordinators or law enforcement executives. Training courses are held in various locations around the country to provide the opportunity of networking with other departments. Trainings are led by a team of practitioners with extensive experience coordinating law enforcement volunteer programs from both sworn and civilian perspectives. You can find more information about each course by clicking on the links on the left, downloading our Training Program brochure or contact us at training@policevolunteers.org.

Whether an agency is just starting out or has hundreds of volunteers, VIPS is proud and able to serve the needs of enhancing the state of volunteerism through its education and training programs.
